First verify the driver and client interface for your device. Evaluate IoT Gateway for cloud publishing; add OPC Router when transformations or multi-system workflows are required.

Connect existing data to its destination.
Your data is already accessible through OPC UA, SQL or MQTT. Verify the relevant OPC Router plug-ins, transfer direction, triggers and licensing in a pilot.

An additional middleware layer may be unnecessary.
If your SCADA is an OPC UA client and your source is an OPC UA server, evaluate a direct connection. Revisit product selection if you need protocol conversion or a separate integration workflow.
02 / DATA VOLUME
How much data will you produce?
Start planning raw data capacity. This estimate excludes compression, indexes, protocol overhead, backups and retransmissions.
How is this calculated?
Daily samples = tags × 86,400 ÷ interval × recorded share. Volume = samples × bytes per record. 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. At 100%, every scan is stored; for change-based logging, measure the share in a pilot.
